Transfer Heat From Ceiling To Floor
There are many factors in determining the best practice for capturing trapped ceiling heat based upon one s circumstances.
Transfer heat from ceiling to floor. The systems depend largely on radiant heat transfer the delivery of heat directly from the hot surface to the people and objects in the room via infrared radiation. Currently i am working on 2 designs to maintain the heat near the floor so the heat continues to radiate after the forced hot air furnace has shut off. I once saw a house that had passive solar heat which all stayed at the top of the house so they installed a few small ducts that simply ran from floor to ceiling and put little muffin fans like on computers on them to draw the warm air down continusouly. Ceiling fan is usual.
This is an energy efficient heating solution with low running costs. You will be warmer and save money too wood burning stoves wall furnaces and floor furnaces all heat a room from the ceiling down. It was a less obtrusive solution. A heat transfer kit can do exactly that.
It will utilise the heat being generated in an already heated room and efficiently transfer this excess heat from the ceiling to other rooms. Some like the lee family shown in the bi slideshow say that their heating bill has been cut in half thanks to their use of the tent whose interior. These systems can also be used for heat transfer and cool air transfer. Indoor tents cut heating bills in half.
This not only warms the floor but now the heater is receiving warmer air to add heat to and will cycle off sooner.
